The way I see things.
For me, photography begins with noticing. The light, an expression, the connection between people, or the little details that make a person, a place or a moment feel entirely its own.
Hi, I'm Isabel.
I'm Colombian and have called the Netherlands home for more than a decade. Before settling here, life took me through London, New York, Miami and Berlin. Living in different places and cultures has shaped me in many ways, including how I look at people, beauty and the world around me.
My background is in advertising and marketing, where I spent many years working with ideas, brands and visual communication. Photography brought together many of the things I have always been drawn to: creativity, people and storytelling, but in a way that feels much more personal to me.
Today, I photograph people, places and stories. Sometimes I'm creating something from an idea, and sometimes I'm simply noticing what is already there. I love both.
What I look for.
I love beautiful photographs, but I don't want them to feel forced. I'll guide you when you need it and give you space when you don't. Very often, my favourite photograph is the one that happens somewhere in between.
It might be a child's expression that lasts only a second, the way two people look at each other, someone's confidence in front of the camera, or simply the feeling of a place. Those are the things I notice.
Whether I'm photographing a family, a portrait, an important moment, an event or a space, I want the images to feel considered and beautiful, but also real and personal to the people in them.
